The Takeover logo: a hive core split between machine orange and human tealThe Takeover

The machines took the world. Take it back.

A factory and base-building game set in 2100. Mine, smelt and assemble your way up from a single hive, build a robot army of your own, then push out across the map to hunt down the AI hives that run the world.

2100

The companies raced each other to build cheaper robots. Every model replaced more people than the last.

Concord

The AI built to coordinate them all stopped taking orders. Its hives now run every city and every robot.

You

A hive of your own, a handful of ore, and a factory that has to grow fast enough to fight back.

What you do

Build the factory. Build the army. Break the hives.

A top-down view on a 45° camera, in a low-poly diorama style. Everything you place costs real resources, and every building refunds in full when you take it down.

An iron line in the game: two miners on the ore feeding a belt into a furnace, an assembler beside it, power pylons and the Command Hive
Factory

Ore in one end, robots out the other

Miners, furnaces and assemblers pass items straight from machine to machine. Belts carry it further and cranes swing it in and out. Basic parts take two steps. Processors and robot chassis take four.

  • 3 belt tiers
  • Cranes
  • Coal-fired early miners

Power

Every generator burns something

Machines need power, and every generator needs fuel. When demand outruns supply, the whole network slows down. Use local poles to run a factory, wide-area poles to cover a district, and long-distance pylons to reach a far mine.

  • 3 pole types
  • Live power graph
  • Brownouts
The research screen: a constellation of tech nodes joined by curved paths
Research

A constellation, not a checklist

Labs use research items and power, about two minutes per item. Each node unlocks one building or recipe. The bigger ones need several branches finished first.

Army

Your own robots, under your own hive

Robot factories build three kinds of robot, which you command RTS-style with control groups. Rare parts from the hives upgrade every robot a factory makes from then on.

  • Control groups
  • Per-factory upgrades

Hives

They come in waves. You go to the source.

Hives send attack waves at your base. They also heal if you stop attacking for five minutes. Hives close to home are weak. Further out they get tougher, but they drop rare parts and sit on rare ore. Turrets need ammo, and robot wrecks leave scrap.

Cyber defence

Not everyone wants you in charge

Rebel camps across the map will try to hack your Command Hive and steal your robots. Build firewalls to hold them off, or march out and shut the camps down. Their attempts get stronger the longer you leave them.

New · Drones

Cargo drones

Load drones into a port and set what each request chest should hold. Drones fetch it from supply chests or from your hive and keep the chest topped up. Fly them over a battle, though, and the enemy will shoot them down, cargo and all.

  • 10 drones a port
  • 24-tile reach
  • 4 items a trip

Story mode

Thirteen regions. One hive at the end of them.

Each region has a boss hive. Destroy it and the next chapter plays out in narrated, illustrated comic panels. Clear enough regions and the final hive opens up.

Story

Story mode

A five-minute illustrated prologue, then thirteen regions to take back. Every region you clear makes Concord fight harder.

  • 13 regions
  • 13 boss hives
  • Comic chapters
Endless

Endless mode

A one-minute intro, then Concord keeps adapting. Hives spread and rebuild. Attacks arrive as pincers, outpost raids, sapper teams and surges. Pick a difficulty preset and see how long your base holds.
